Viponds Paints Pty Ltd is now a third generation family owned Australian company that was founded in 1954 by Jack Vipond.
Alan Vipond (right) and Michael Vipond, pictured in front of the old Coburg factory, are continuing the family tradition.
From humble beginnings manufacturing a speciality industrial finish, Viponds now manufacture a full range of premium paints for the architectural, industrial, signwriting, display and digital print industries.
Viponds manufacturing site and sales office has now moved from Coburg to a more modern site in Tullamarine, Victoria.
Our core business is providing bright accent colours in a range of high quality, durable paints. An extensive stock colour range is available but our expertise is to colour match to samples, printing ink standards and corporate colours. Viponds paint is used by many companies for their building and advertising requirements due to quality and reliability of colour.
Whilst we continue to manufacture traditional paints the development of new products in line with the latest resin and pigment technology is critical to the growth of Viponds. Also health and safety in the work place and manufacturing environmentally safe products are important driving parameters for our long term viability.
One of our innovative products, TautFlex, has gained market recognition and continues to find new applications across a broad range of industries.
With the demise of the traditional sign industry we are now involved in the digital print market supplying protectIve clear coatings (Universal Digi Clear) and preparation products (Self Adhesive Prep Coat) for digital graphic installations.
We continue to supply a full range of Architectural wall and trim paints and more recently have introduced Ecoshield which has performance characteristics as a replacement for enamel paints but with low VOCs and low odour.
